It’s no secret that famed cosmetics brand (and the makers of one of my personal go-to lip glosses) Stila hit a rough patch recently. Still, like the heroine of a good beach-read book, the brand has come out of troubled times with lessons learned and more than a little appreciative for what it has.
All dolled up and nowhere to go? Well, if you’re in the LA area, you now have a (jealousy-inspiring) destination: this Saturday, March 21st, is Barbie’s birthday shopping extravaganza at Fred Segal in Santa Monica.
The afternoon sounds like the perfect opportunity to indulge in some of my favorite not-so-guilty pleasures, including a personal Barbie makeover (courtesy of Stila professionals, who will undoubtedly be using the Barbie Loves Stila Cosmetics collections) and the opportunity to meet Barbie designer and stylist Robert Best. (I’m thinking that Robert may actually have the best job ever.)
