Understated, But Completely Unforgettable (And A Beauty Tip At The End!)
Posted in Schmears on March 2nd, 2009 by Lily – 5 CommentsThere are very few traditionally “girly” things that I’m not a fan of. In fact, there are just three: the color pink (I can only handle the color if it’s light enough, but not so light that it qualifies as pastel), Hello Kitty (once you know the definition of “puberty” (whether or not you’ve been through it), you’re too old for this character) and perfume.
Yes, perfume. Finding a new scent is my own version of the mythical Sisyphean task. I don’t like fruity or floral scents, and cannot stand musky or heavy scents. God help the neutral versions that abound (I do not want to smell like grass or someone’s idea of “fire” – my Walgreens-purchased Tide laundry detergent is better, IMO).
Because of this, my perfume collection is Kate Moss thin: I wear Nanette Lepore’s Shanghai Butterfly during the winter and Bobbi Brown Beach in the summer. That said – happy day! – I think I may finally be able to add a new fragrance to my rotation:

Tom Ford White Patchouli
