Femme Friday: Life in Orange County

To end your week on an up note, check out this video.  Following reports that a sea lion had attacked a local boy, two deputies enticed the sea lion onto their boat.  While attempting to take it out into the bay to drop it off away from people, the lights began flashing, the emergency pump turned on and off, and the boat’s steering became erratic.  Down on the foul-weather bridge, this is what they found:

I always knew sea lions were smart. Have a great holiday weekend!

D@#n It, ILORI. Why Are You Tempting Me?

Why, ILORI, why? Just when I swear off designer sunglasses for good, you tempt me with the following offer:

The best part? It’s for CHARITY, people!

Donated frames will be given to OneSight(sm) a family of organizations devoted to helping those in need – both domestically and around the world.

Umm, how can I turn this down? Sure, I have broken/lost approximately 10 bajillion pairs of designer frames, but sunglasses are the foundation of any summer look  and I am itching to get my hands on a new pair.

Whenever I am wandering SOHO, ILORI beckons with they’re beautifully designed store and impressive selection. Perhaps I can persaude a Femme or two to make a venture there soon?

I usually like rain, though.  When it has the decency to fall in thoughtfully timed afternoon showers or the occasional awesome thunderstorm, or at least when it takes breaks of a week or two in between visits,  I really like watching the rain (from indoors), hearing it on the roof,  and sometimes taking a walk in it.    Not to mention reading about rainy scenes in books, watching it fall in the movies, seeing it in art …

Some favorite rainy things, after the jump.
